The McCall Police Department is hosting a "coats for kids" event with cider, pumpkins and police cars.

McCall police and fire departments are working with Idaho State Police, Valley County Sheriff's Office, and other community partners. They'll be offering a free coat for kids K-12 who need one.

There will be patrol cars and a fire truck there, as well as a community siren sound-off. The event is at Our Lady of the Lake Church on Saturday Oct. 23 from 1-3 p.m.

"Thank you to all who are making this terrific and valuable community event possible," Idaho State Police said in their Facebook announcement. "We're in this together, Idaho."
